Mediation and Fact Finding Experience :
Mediation and Fact Finding Experience: Over my 30+ year career, I have heard or settled hundreds of cases in the public sector, serving as a mediator, fact-finder, and arbitrator, at the local, state and federal levels. In practice since 1989, I have held bargaining unit positions in the steel & baking industries; and managed labor relations for the largest public employer in North Carolina [Duke University/Medical Center - 1,100 bargaining unit members]. I serve on numerous local, state and national panels. For many years I taught negotiation coursework as an adjunct faculty member at Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College of Information Systems, Public Policy and Management. Past chair the Allegheny County Bar Association Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee and currently serve on Council of the ACBA Labor & Employment Law Section. Conduct both remote (video-capable) hearings, and will issue expedited awards upon request.
